today i saw my first hint that it’s almost valentine’s day – a big red heart-shaped pillow at a local store.  my stomach fluttered a bit and i felt like my daughters probably do when they see their first holiday lights during the christmas season.  i love, love valentine’s day.  it just so happens to be my mom’s birthday and she made it so special for me as i was growing up.  we decorated the house in red, red and more red, made cool homemade valentine out of doilies and ate lots and lots of chocolate!  i love everything about valentine’s day – the reds (my fav color), the pinks, decadence, love, happiness.  it’s a feel good day.  so i’m getting excited… i started to reflect on the amazing couples i photographed this past year and how fun it was to be a part of their special wedding day.  they will celebrate their first valentine’s day together as a married couple – this day has special meaning for them… take the time, give your loved ones a hug (you’re lucky to have them!) and celebrate red, pink and valentine’s day…it’s almost here!  in fact, i’m so excited that it’s almost valentine’s day that i will be posting a give-away within the next few days centered around LOVE…stay tuned!
