Well, we as adults can indulge in all the TV we want (and True Blood is a no miss!), after all that is part of the fun of being an adult :)

i so agree! i was raised with music instead of tv/video (no tv in our house until i turned 13!) so it's a struggle for me to have the tv on. although i do have to admit that i love "true blood." tee hee!

I couldn't agree more, there is only so much Sponge Bob and Mario Brothers I can take. My favorite times with my 2 kids is when we have a record on the turntable and are left up to our own devices for fun. This has led to some serious fort building, role playing and treasure hunts (finding how many of everything is in our house like windows, doorknobs, ect). The connection and the conversations with them at those times will always be awesome memories for us!

I remember our family car rides in the brown Dodge Coronet wagon, watching the raindrops gobble up each other on the way down the glass. No movies on the little screen, no ipods, handhelds, just peaceful - making up stories about the people who live in the falling apart house with 10 junkers in the yard. I'm with you, Zoe!
