I love the idea for this contest. It's been really nice to have had something that has encouraged me to spend my quieter moments thinking about sharing- thank you.

I love sharing walks on the beach with my dog but I don't like to share my pillow with him.

I love sharing a road trip with girlfriends but I prefer not to share a ride to work (my sacred fifteen minutes of solitude).

I love sharing smiles with strangers but it's not easy for me to share painful things with people that I don't know well.

Other random things that I love to share: a tent with my husband, good news, a bottle of wine with an old friend, a big bowl of popcorn, group hugs with my husband and two toddlers, favorite recipes, a sled with my kids, and laughter with truly anyone.

Now that I am growing older, I've found that I still love to share time with my children - it is something that never ends you will all find. As they have grown older their time is more precious to them as it is and to me.
My purchase from 3 Sisters was my share and gift to my daughter for her birthday last year.

The thing I like to share is the exact same thing that I don't like to share, and that is my time.

I LOVE to share my time with those people that I care about.

When I get home from work, I love sitting down with my 1 year old and playing whatever game he wants to play. The adoring smile he gives me makes me feel like the best mom EVER.

After he goes to bed, I love to share dinner and a glass of wine with my husband. Our conversations about our day, the current news, our favorite TV shows, the silly things our child has done just makes me so happy and reminds me exactly why I married him.

Other days, I love chatting for hours with my friends. There is nothing better than a good meal with great friends. I always come away smiling and feeling refreshed.

On the flip side, I have difficulty spending my time with anyone that is negative or a bit of a Debbie Downer. That's not to say I'd avoid my friends if they were having a rough day, I'm always a willing listner for those I love. I'm talking about those people that are ALWAYS negative and whatever their experiencing is ALWAYS the worst thing that anyone could ever be experiencing. If you're having a rough day because you're dog died, their day is worse because their pet goldfish died AND they got a papercut. Know what I mean?

On a slightly less "deep" level, I love to share belly rubs and a good game of tug-o-war with my dog. I love to share my "knowledge" with my son and show him how to do amazing things... like turn on the dishwasher (his current favorite activity). I love to share snuggles and hugs. I even love to share my ice cream because who isn't happier after a bite of ice cream?

I don't like to share my clothing (because sometimes it never finds it's way back into my closet) and I don't like to share my hairbrush or toothbrush... or any personal grooming tools for that matter.

I am a person who enjoys making things....hand made cards, painted rocks and jewelry. I love to share the things that I have made, it feels nice to give away something that carries a little bit of your own personal energy.
One of my all time favorite treats if a trip to Extraordinary Deserts on Union St. Everything is so beautiful......the place, their little selection of decadent gifts and of course those incredible, flower adorned cakes. I can never finish an entire piece myself and so there is always a little bit I take home in a box. The next day, after I have looked forward to my left over treat all day, I take out the little morsel.....and you better believe that I am in no mood to share!

I LOVE to cook and love entertaining so sharing my meals and my time with good friends. I also like sharing my husband’s handiness abilities with my friends who have handy-challenged husbands (heehee), many friends will call and ask if Joe can come to the rescue to fix something. I’m proud that he is so talented in the home repair department (this isn’t even what he does for a living) as I’m finding many of my friend’s hubbies are not so much. I love sharing my heart with my husband. I am a part-time Yoga and Pilates instructor/trainer and I LOVE sharing my knowledge in these disciplines to help empower individuals. But most of all, I love sharing my time with my two little boys…goofiness is a way of life at our house and sharing silly dances, funny faces & imaginary stories are number one on my list of things I love to share.
Now, if I get a piece of chocolate cake for dessert or especially if it’s a slice of the Ultimate Chocolate Cake from Jimbo’s Naturally’s bakery department, DON’T even ask if you can smell it, I will NOT share even a lick! I will hide the chocolate heavenliness in a cabinet and just like you Zoe, wait for the right time to carefully take it out so I can relish in my chocolate alone time! I feel a little guilty but only when my husband busts me! I don’t really like sharing my Chapstick either but will if you have chapped lips. But that’s about it, I think that because I grew up with three sisters, I didn’t really have a choice but to be a good sharer and that’s a good thing!

I'll share my chocolate. I'll share my smile.
I'll share some stories if you'll sit awhile....
I'll share your sorrow when you need a friend,
or both left feet if you want to dance........
But I will not - cannot -do not dare -
share that number on the bathroom scale.
Don't even ask. I will not tell!
