lists, lists and more lists…
Mar 15
i am queen of list-making. little scraps of paper all over the place with misspelled things to do (i am a horrific “speller”). i am living under a pile of lists. my life is governed by lists. i have nightmares about lists. i’m not sure if they actually help my life or make it crazier. but if i don’t write it down, it just won’t happen – it’s a love/hate type of situation. so this is my process: i write it down on the closest piece of paper i can find (gum wrapper, ATM receipt, girls’ homework), shove it in my wallet/day-timer/pocket and hope for the best. some of my existing lists are three weeks old – eek! well today, i decided to conquer my lists. and guess what? it didn’t happen – in fact, i just created more lists based upon my existing lists. i ended up overwhelming myself – i am definitely chasing my tail. oh – but i did think of a fun new give-away while cooking dinner and i didn’t write it down. stay tuned. hope to post it tomorrow (this is a note to self).
best wishes, zoe

Love it! I can definitely relate! I think I’m a year behind on some of my lists…LOL.

it’s scary when you find an old list, isn’t it? i find them all of the time and feel awful that i forgot to do certain things

you should really save them all and have them bound one day. It would be a historical account of your awesome multi-tasking ability. it would be the list-maker’s version of the book “everything I ate” – which I read cover-to-cover, much to my hubby’s amusement. Wouldn’t it be fun to find one of your great-great grandma’s to do lists!?

i LOVE this idea. it’s awesome…

I live off to do lists! what’s funny is now I’ve gone from scrap paper tp the white board in the house. This has made the process even worse because when I am out and about I can’t remember everything I wrote down!

The other day I found myself making a list of all the lists I needed to make. I have a ‘memo’ on my crackberry for when I’m out and about. I email myself and leave myself voicemails. I even buy cute stationary for my lists. I think I need therapy – I’ll add it to my list.
