public transportation…

we had a lot of fun riding public transportation on our trip- it’s something we lack in san diego. so we made sure to ride as many forms of public transport that we could since it was all part of the experience. from getting totally squished on the 30 Grant Bus, to bottomless Sprite on the airplane (a big treat for jette), to driving down Lombard in a taxi, to stripping down in the airport because of all my “stuff” setting off the metal detector. it was great fun and the girls loved it. oh – and if we walked by an escalator the girls just HAD to ride it up and then down. cute.

Over Christmas break, I was looking at sweaters in Parisian and Katie was being CRAZY climbing under racks, etc. So I told her if she would just let me look for 5 more minutes, We could go up and down the escalator 3 times. Ever the negotiator, she says ,”How about 10″ and me, wanting to find a the perfect sweater says, “OK”, just to keep her happy. So I found the sweater. And then we rode…10 round trips. People thought we had just gone absolutely up-and-over-the-edge nuts!
