when i think that neils and i are celebrating our ten year anniversary – i think about all that has happened during our time together – new love, new life, saying good-bye to loved ones, career changes, new home, the start of new chapters in our girls’ lives… i can’t believe it’s only been ten years.  we’ve covered a lot of ground.  within a few dates, i knew that niels was “the one.”  that was a big deal for me because i was skeptical that i would ever marry – terrified that i might settle.  before i met niels, my gnawing question was “would i really know?”  and yes, you do.   we’ve had our challenging times, that’s for sure.  but i think what pulls us through is that we share the same values and… humor.  he cracks me up.  he makes me laugh all the time.  niels is loyal, compassionate, insightful, affectionate, funny (but you know that), a super good dancer, moral and honest.  he might have no concept of time and be habitually late, but i can deal with that.  we celebrated our anniversary by going out for chinese food – these are pix of our fortunes.  can you guess whose is whose?  here’s to fifty more…
