having great friends is so important to me. i think that because i am an only child, i have created my network of friends and turned them into family. if i make a good friend – you can bet that we will be friends for life. i thank my mom for always talking to me about being a good friend and the importance of friendships and loyalty. on saturday, we went to my friend diana’s house for a BBQ. i have know this group of friends for almost 20 years. we have been through so much together. we all met when we were students, single and working at a beach-side cafe. it was a special time in my life and i made a lot of lasting friendships -we had some fun, fun times together! although we only get together a few times a year as families, it’s like no time has passed when we’re together. it’s so cool to watch our children play together, the next generation! these ladies are all so special to me – three of us are only children, we have created our extended family. i am always here for them as i know they are for me!

Haven’t checked the blog in days! This end-of-school craziness is getting OUT OF CONTROL!!! So I am taking a break and going for a walk and checking the 3 sisters blog and I love the Americana party – did someone invite Martha Stewart, because I think she would approve. And what a great venue – dune buggy on the ceiling! Very cool. And this friends picture is so neat – you must all cherish each other – such silly faces those kids are making!!!!
