we all probably nudge our kids in a direction we wish we would have gone – some moms want their kids to dance, some dads want their sons to play football, some parents want their kids to do it all. it’s natural (i think) because you want what’s best for your kids – but sometimes you can’t help but nudge your kids in a direction that interests you. speaking of that – i was at the spring auction benefiting the girls’ school a few months ago and i bid on an electric guitar lesson taught by one of the school’s teachers. how cool that a teacher would donate his time and talent to help raise money for the school!? anyway, my secret desire was to be in a band. i can’t sing, can’t carry a tune and hey! i can’t even play an instrument. my poor kids get really, really quiet when i sing in the car to the radio – it’s not pretty. but i LOVE music and going to concerts, seeking out new bands and filling my iPod is a huge part of who i am. so one of my kids MUST be a musician – i’m starting to chip away at jette… she actually loved it and asked if she could go buy a guitar pick with her own money. yeah!

Just placed an order for necklaces for both my hubby and me as we are about to welcome baby two to our family. I’m not a blogger nor do I follow any but found myself thumbing through your pages crying my eyes out. Something about that Pearl Jam song and the combo of… well everything! At any rate, you have a beautfil family and we are looking forward to the delivery of our new jewerly to celebrate ours. Do you happen to also make customized scrapbooks?!? : )

Zoe’s little rocker chick – was she the one who had the “sing loud” t-shirt on in one of your older blog pics? I loved that…subtle nudging…nice! But seriously, how would they ever know that they weren’t supposed to be something if they were never exposed to it?

uncle and aunt would love nothing more than some jam sessions in the barn! What fun. keep nudging, zoe. you could have a talent there that needs to be nutured (hey, early retirement.) you and niels could be jettes roadies.

Zoe! Ialways wanted to be in a band too. And, I’ve got no musical talent to speak of…..I’d like to play the drums so, if you want to jam with another person who loves music, loves concerts, loves singing along to Chris Cornell and Eddie….I’m your girl.
We could do a 90s cover band….imagine.
I did star in the 4th grade musical so, maybe there is some talent buried in there somewhere…..just like you!
