today my little nephew quentin (“Q”) turned one. he’s a slice of sunshine – so sweet, so happy and FUNNY. his little personality is so cool. i think that is evidenced by his birthday cake – a TOASTER! who has a toaster birthday cake when they turn one?! cool in my book. veronica’s goodies made the amazing cake – it was delicious! organic, moist, delish and the first fondat that i ever tasted that was actually scrumdillyumptious! but funny enough, Q doesn’t have a sweet tooth so he stared at his cake. i had my camera all ready for the big first birthday mess. darn. it was a no-go. so, i sneaked some extra bites when no one was looking. happy birthday q-bert!

i am wishing i had brought home a piece of Q’s little toaster for a snack. i don’t know when i have tasted such a yummy cake. Q is a quite a funny little guy and full of energy. i love him to pieces. can’t wait to see him floating around Bass Lake in his little life jacket. he has learned to dog paddle at his swim lessons.

Your photography captures the moment like no other can. The picture of Q is classic. I will always remember him trying to push the toast into the toaster when he saw his cake. Thanks for sharing in Q’s big day. It was special to have you and the three sisters there. Q enjoyed playing with Jette and Elle. Bass Lake will be a blast.
