a mini shoot – peanut pie

Aug 18

here i go again…cheating.  i’m reposting images from my photography blog – hope that’s OK with you!  here are some cute pictures of darling isabella from our mini shoot session.  isabella is also know as “peanut pie” in my mind (her parents don’t know this!).  when i met her i wanted to call her “peanut pie” – she’s just that, a cute little peanut and sweet as pie.  isabella will always be peanut pie to me.

is it cheating if i re-post my photo blog post?  hope not, because here it is… remember those cute boys that i photographed while they washed their parent’s cool car?  well here are some more shots from our session together.  i could post all of them – such cool, fun kids.  (psstt… to see better quality images, visit my photo blog)

the absolute funnest…

Aug 5

this evening i had one of the “funnest” photo shoots i’ve had a while.  i know.  “funnest” is not a word.  but in this case it just was the “funnest” – we washed cars and it was, well SUPER fun…. i’m too tired to show you the images, but here is one that caught my eye.  those are some happy kids…

thanks to Sofspra Self Service Carwash for letting us wash!

a good place to be…

Jun 10

sometimes you just need a bit of love, someone to share their full heart with you.   someone to enter your life and remind you what’s important, reaffirm what you thought was true and tell you that you can do it.  if by any chance you are wondering if you should take a chance, start that project you’ve always wanted to tackle or learn something – let me tell you that i think you should do it.  in fact, i know you can.  a leap of faith – that’s all it takes.

A Full Heart

dandelion wishes photo shoot

Jun 10

the first of our photo shoots at the wildflower photography workshop was a “dandelion wishes” theme.   we were scheduled to meet at 5:45am (yes, in the morning) and photograph these adorable girls.  unfortunately the fog was so dense that it was too dangerous to drive – so we postponed the shoot until 7am.  it was still foggy and challenging because 20 photographers were vying for the same spot.  it was still fun and so great to see joy in action with her subjects.  such an inspiration!  the girls were sweet and had fun with their dandelions.

fun hats!

May 27

i received a shipment yesterday of hats from Lisa’s Mini Mad Hattery, fine mini top hats!  And what fun we will have with these little gems.  I get to photograph them for Lisa and I am so excited!  Each is a tiny work of art…. Jette threw one on and I snapped a pick.  I loved the moment – messy hair, intense concentration (on what, i don’t know).  Yippee!  i will be sure to share some images with you.

fun with the green couch…

May 20

i love this couch – love the pea-green color, the tufts and the fact that it’s pretty light-weight.  i can throw it in my car and go.  i can drag it out of my car, park it under a tree and take some fun pictures.  i love that it’s supposed to get messy – with kids jumping on it, eating ice creams cones and cotton candy on it.  yes, i love my green couch.

high school senior portrait session

Apr 22

i photographed an amazing high school senior today – she is gearing up to go to a big-time, midwestern university in the fall.  she’s a thespian, she’s smart, she’s cool, funny and silly – all rolled into one amazing chick.  we hung out together for the afternoon and she kept me entertained with her amazing smile, funny faces and constant laughs.  the joke became whether she could “non-smile” – smiling constantly is part of who she is.  she always has a smile on her face.  well  here are few peaks at her non-smile.  i think she looks amazing, even when non-smiling.

easy-breezy…. phew!

Mar 27

i love it when this happens.  an easy mini-shoot.  mini shoots can be hit or miss – you always hope to connect with your subject and get a variety in the 20 minutes allotted per shoot, but unfortunately that doesn’t always happen.  when they go south, it feels awful and disappointing.  well…. it went well today and “yeah!” that made me happy.  here is a sneak peak from one of today’s mini shoots – isn’t she gorgeous?

little miss…

Mar 26

my friend stopped by with her adorable daughter fiona.  little miss “fi” is too, too cute.  she’s such a little lady.  dainty and sweet.  i want to put her on my shelf on a pedestal and stare at her.  she’s that cute.  i snapped some pix of her in my backyard wearing the adorable little mini hats from Lisa’s Mini Mad Hattery.  I had to create the images in B&W because she’s so classic looking.  It just seemed right.
