i’m a big music person. i would much rather listen to music than hear the TV. in fact, i would be happy if we threw our TV out the window – but i’ll save that topic for another post. yes…i love music. the song i had on my last website, federico aubele, was much loved by everyone. that’s why i decided to keep it as my inaugural song for the launching of the new site, but it’s time to move on… i’m searching for a new song or two. i think i’ll change songs every few weeks – keep it fresh and expose you all to something new and perhaps inspiring. ok, here is my newest song…zooey deschanel’s “sugar town.” it sounds like she’s smiling when she sings. i like that. do you have any recommendations for me? would love to hear them.

volunteered in my daughter’s class and the topic was tradition. the kids all had so many neat traditions – it made me think that the little things create the tradition. my girls love to see the same holiday decorations year after year, they love their advent calendar and they look forward to finding the nut in their rice pudding (our danish tradition). i’ts a magical time for all of us and keeping up with tradition is so important. what are your traditions and are you starting a new tradition? we are – we will be putting our shoes out for special treats.
and our newest tradition…

well..today marks the beginning of my new blog and my new site. i’m so excited! and so happy you’re here to share with me. a bit of background on me – i am mom to three cool girls (2,5 & 8), i live in sunny southern california (born and raised) and married to the most supportive man you can imagine. seriously – you don’t even want to know what he puts up with. anyway, i’ve had some life changing events – the loss of my amazing mom to cancer (horrendous, i am part of the grief club now. you know what i’m talking about if you’re part of it too. life is never the same.) and then my own personal cancer diagnosis. both made me stop in my tracks, evaluate my life and take a different path. i was an attorney – a creative person stuck in a life of a noncreative person – and then i journeyed down the path of photography (www.photographybyzoe.com). i started making charm bracelets for clients because i love, love, LOVE jewelry. and then “three sisters” was born, taking on a life of it’s own – it’s named for my three girls and of course my mom, who was the oldest of three sisters. i hope that you stop in regularly, check out my blog and check out my designs – there is sure to be an interesting post here and there. here is a picture of my girls – it’s all for them.
